Business Profile

Quarter Jewellery and Malvern Goldsmiths. Quarter Jewellery has been open in Worcester in the Shambles in Worcester's City centre for nearly 17 years. The building is around 400 years old and the shop has been designed to reflect traditional displays and values of an old fashioned jewellers.
We offer services and prices that are impossible for chain stores or dealers on the internet to compete with.
We buy loose diamonds from the largest diamond dealers in London's Hatton Garden and assemble them into rings etc., in workshops in Birmingham.
Ever since we opened in Worcester we have advertised ourselves as "The Most Reasonable Jewellers in Worcester" in every advert, no other jewellery organisation has ever questioned this!

Five years ago I was in Great Malvern and saw a shop which reminded me of a shop I worked at when I was 19. I realised that this shop, which was originally a Victorian pharmacy, would make a beautiful old style jewellers. I had to wait 3 years before the shop became vacant and then instantly signed up. I was right, it has made a beautiful jewellers.... It looks as if it was always a jewellers, I feel very lucky to be able to work in such an historical shop. Most of the original pharmacists fittings are still present in the shop and attract tourists on a daily basis. We opened Malvern Goldsmiths in March 2017, in the "Most Interesting shop in Malvern"Built in around 1815, the shop was run as a pharmacy and in 1849 was bought by Lea & Perrins, both of whom were chemists, later becoming famous for their Worcester Sauce. The Malvern Shop has many of its original pharmacy fittings, we have added matching counters made to blend in with the original beautiful fittings. In both shops, Malvern and Worcester we offer the same services,
We stock a full range of wedding rings, we sell all our wedding rings by weight, and guarantee that our prices will beat any other, weight for weight.
Valuations for Insurance, Sale between parties and Probate, jewellery repairs.
Insurance Valuations cost £25 for the first item and £20 each thereafter. We are always happy to give you a free valuation for unwanted items of jewellery, silver or watches.

OUR WEDDING RING SERVICE
It may interest you to know that nowadays generally wedding ring "blanks" are made by large industrial manufactures. First of all a washer is stamped out of a gold sheet, it is then turned and rolled to produce a ring, this process is called clinking. The system is excellent and means that unlike in the old days there is no join, so sizing is easy.
We buy the wedding ring blanks directly from the bullion dealer who use our refined gold and offer the following service

We invite you to design your own Wedding Ring
Step 1. Choose a plain wedding ring of any carat or platinum
Step 2. Buy it plain or have it diamond cut with any pattern you like .+ £15
Step 3. Set some good quality bright diamonds, +£30 each per diamond
Step 4. Engrave dates or something Lovey Dovey inside +£15 approx.
Congratulations! you just designed your own wedding ring.
Plain wedding rings are;9 carat gold £37.50 per gram, 18 carat £75.00 and platinum £95.00

Many people come to our shops to sell their jewellery for one reason or another, and often never think of having the stones put into a new setting, for example an unwanted three stone diamond ring will often make a nice pair of diamond stud earrings, and a solitaire diamond pendant.
A solitaire diamond can be mounted in a new mount to produce a modern ring, even the stone is 100 years old.
Stones from an old cluster ring can be reset into a brand new eternity ring mount or vice versa, stones from an old eternity can be made into a cluster. You may be surprised how little the cost of conversion is, and it will help you to maximise the value of your stones.
Having been in the jewellery business for 56 years, I am always happy that our staff can offer advice and a service that is the same as when I first trained. We don't charge for advice, and will always advise you for your benefit, not ours.
We don't have a website but do have two very interesting shops in excellent locations, I know you are reading this on your computer or phone, come and see us, look around Worcester and/ or Malvern. Worcester has the most beautiful cathedral, Malvern is a pretty town with beautiful hills, famous of course for its water, bring a container to fill from the famous Malvina Spring just 30 metres from our shop. Another benefit.......you can see and feel our jewellery in real life.
